The Green Store, which supplies green products for the Twin Cities, is moving it's store a few miles south to a new location. Why you ask, Parking.
May is the last month to shop Twin Cities Green at 2405 Hennepin Ave. S. before the store changes names and moves from the area.
Ryan North, who started the business a couple years ago with wife Tina, said the store would be moving a couple miles southwest, closer to the lakes, but he couldn’t provide the exact address yet because the deal was still being finalized.
The main reason for the move, he said, was problematic parking at the current location.
Oh, the Irony. I also see the move into a wealthier part of the Twin Cities as the real driving force.

Parking wasn't the only reason we decided to make a move. Other determining factors (amongst many), which weren't mentioned in the article you quoted, were that our location is on a bus line and very close to the Midtown Greenway. We're very supportive (as you would imagine) of alternative modes of transportation. We even put in a bike rack! However, since we sell larger items like furniture and non-toxic crib mattresses, convenient access for our customers is important. Please give us some credit for all the good we do!
I'm glad someone pointed out the irony. I laughed out loud when I read that in the DT Journal.
Ryan, I understand you can tell I reporter a lot, and then they just pick out a couple of quotes.
Although the overpriced green consumerism racket probably would work a little better on the hybrid-suv-driving Linden Hills crowd than the crowd walking or biking down Hennepin.
